NASCAR seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Track Communications based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This role leads communications strategy and execution for assigned NASCAR-owned tracks, driving media coverage, shaping messaging, and directing on-site media operations during race events.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute communications plans for assigned NASCAR-owned tracks, including drafting press materials and strategic messaging.
  • Lead proactive media outreach, securing earned coverage across local, regional, and national outlets.
  • Support race weekends by moderating press conferences, staffing executive interviews, managing credentials, and overseeing post-race media operations.
  • Manage advance event promotion initiatives in assigned markets to generate year-round media exposure.
  • Partner with internal teams on communications related to public affairs, real estate matters, partnerships, and business initiatives.
  • Oversee track-related media monitoring, analysis, and distribution through Meltwater.
  • Serve as an on-site media contact during race events and support additional communications projects as needed.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of communications experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sports industry experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, media relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
