Job Overview:

Managers of test development will be responsible for all direct reports. Duties will include but are not limited to annual appraisals, time sheet approvals, performance improvement plans, etc. They will also act as members of the leadership team and will also act as senior level reviewers on items, forms, and documents as well as function as group review leads.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage professional development, growth, and performance for a team of Test Developers within a content area

  • Establishes the training needs of staff within a content area and organizes the appropriate training in a timely manner

  • Determines staffing needs across state projects and obtains vendors for needed item development work

  • Oversees and leads CAC meetings, rubric validation meetings, range finding meetings, and data review meetings

  • Participates in standard setting meetings as the standard setting leader

  • Oversees content leads in the development of an item pool for state projects

  • Runs group reviews and independently conducts content review 2 reviews for all projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in assessment or education related fields or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in assessment or education related fields

  • At least 4 years of staff supervision experience

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with the U.S. Education and Education Assessment is required

  • Data-backed skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Skilled at collaboration

  • Required travel for this position ranges from 1 week to 6 weeks per year

  • Candidates should be able to travel from 2-5 days at a time
