The Role You'll Play

The Technical Program Management team is the connective tissue that turns Playlist's cyber security and IT strategy into coordinated, predictable delivery, driving the cross-functional programs that reduce risk and move the organization forward. The ideal TPM team members are experienced program leaders with strong technical acumen and a working fluency in cyber security principles, risk and vulnerability management, who are passionate about bringing structure to ambiguity, aligning stakeholders across Engineering, Security, and the business, and executing complex, high-impact initiatives that deliver measurable, business-aligned outcomes across our vertical SaaS ecosystem

  • Lead and grow a team of Security and IT technical program managers, owning hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development
  • Own the Cyber Security and IT program management portfolio, setting how programs are scoped, prioritized, sequenced, and delivered across the org
  • Set the operating rhythm for the team across intake, prioritization, resourcing, and reporting, balancing competing programs against multi-quarter outcomes and risk reduction targets
  • Partner with Security and IT leadership to translate strategy into a prioritized program roadmap and a resourcing model that holds up under trade-offs
  • Represent portfolio status, risks, and trade-offs to executive stakeholders, and make the calls needed to keep delivery predictable
  • Build, standardize, and continuously improve the team’s playbooks, templates, and measurement systems so delivery quality does not depend on any one person
  • Surface and resolve enterprise-wide delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers across Security, IT, and Engineering
  • Maintain deep, evolving security domain fluency and apply it to guide the team, challenge trade-offs, and operate as a trusted technical liaison across Engineering, Security, and business stakeholders
  • Navigate ambiguity with a bias for action, stay creative and resourceful in problem solving, and ask questions early and often when working in new or unfamiliar systems or topics
 The Experience You’ll Bring
  • 6-8+ years in program management, client services, management consulting, or a similar role at a technology company, including 2+ years directly managing people. Prior experience running Cyber Security or IT programs required
  • Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing program or delivery teams
  • Deep expertise in program management best practices and tools, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, applied at portfolio scale
  • Strong technical aptitude with an ability to understand technical architectures and speak to system design, reliability and scalability challenges, and design trade-offs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience interpreting and communicating technical requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives
  • Strong understanding of information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS, HITRUST, etc.) and the ability to communicate them to non-technical stakeholders is highly desirable
  • Sets direction, makes trade-offs explicit, and holds a team accountable to outcomes and risk reduction targets
