As a Sustainability Activation Manager, you will help bring this vision to life.
This role sits at the intersection of sustainability, commercial strategy, and customer collaboration. You'll help activate our sustainability agenda with key customers by driving customer-specific programs, elevating our presence in joint business planning, and supporting brand-aligned initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a commercial mindset, customer-facing experience (sales preferred), and a passion for building sustainability into the commercial agenda.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Meeting Preparation: Develop compelling, customer-ready content and lead preparation for sustainability engagements, joint business planning, and retailer summits-ensuring we show up with purpose, credibility, and aligned goals.
  • Joint Programming: Co-create sustainability programs with customers that align with both Mondelēz and customer sustainability and ESG goals, including packaging, climate, sourcing, and well-being initiatives.
  • Customer Reporting Support: Manage incoming sustainability data and reporting requests from customers. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to deliver accurate, customized responses that demonstrate progress and build trust.
  • Brand & Shopper Activation: Partner with brand and shopper teams to bring sustainability to life across consumer touchpoints-translating goals into meaningful activations that resonate in-store and online.
  • Internal Engagement: Act as a sustainability advocate and connector across internal teams, driving alignment between sustainability, sales, marketing, and customer teams to embed sustainability into commercial planning and help develop a culture of sustainability across the business.
  • Agile Problem Solving: Operate with a solutions-oriented mindset in a dynamic environment. Prioritize effectively, navigate ambiguity, and move quickly from idea to execution.
  • Sustainable sourcing, with expertise in agricultural raw materials sustainability
  • Corporate sustainability, either through work experience in a company or through consultancy experience with companies on sustainable sourcing
  • Building, maintaining and influencing stakeholders
  • Comfortably networking and influencing others who are at least two levels up in the organization
  • Educational achievements and business experience that demonstrate the intellectual capability needed to have credibility in the business
  • Expertise in sustainable sourcing, water deforestation, human rights, procurement of agricultural raw materials and supply chains
  • A self-starter who loves defining and delivering ambitious goal
  • Modelling trust, integrity and perseverance


What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • 3-7 years of relevant experience, with customer-facing or commercial roles preferred (e.g., sales, customer marketing, trade strategy, or category leadership).
  • Strong communicator with the ability to synthesize complex sustainability topics into simple, actionable insights.
  • Collaborative and cross-functional-excited to work across teams and disciplines to create integrated plans.
  • Curious and entrepreneurial, always looking for new ways to bring value to our customers and our planet.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills and proven ability to lead high-profile projects to deliver results.
  • Active listening skills with ability to understand your audience, synthesize key ideas, and weave together information to create a compelling story.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to deliver high-quality work independently.
  • Outstanding organizational skills-ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
  • Capacity for designing and implementing creative and flexible solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sustainability projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire others, and to manage and mentor direct reports.
  • Take ownership for actions, behaviors, and contributions while inspiring and motivating self and others.
  • Work with business colleagues and external partners to implement plans under your pillar.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize across competing initiatives.


The base salary range for this position is $106,300 to $146,200; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
