MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic Manager, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team. We are looking for an industry leader with WNBA and women's sports experience to work with our roster of Fortune 500 clients. This is an amazingly diverse position which requires someone who will help advise clients on the best partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management, and measurement.
You will lead a junior team of experienced marketers in developing, executing, and measuring performance of WNBA activation programs. Successful employees will approach unexpected challenges quickly and creatively. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Cincinnati, OH office and you will report into the Director, Sponsorship Consulting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sponsorship strategies for clients across the WNBA and women's sports industries
- Lead a team of sponsorship consultants to deliver high-quality work and meet client goals
- Collaborate with teams to identify new business opportunities and increase revenue
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities for clients
- Negotiate and activate sponsorship deals on behalf of clients, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships
- Establish trusted relationships with client team and identify potential revenue growth opportunities
- Work with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
- Write and develop important documents including POV documents to client-ready status using Microsoft Suite of products which include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Support negotiations with local and national rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements that surpass client expectations
- Tentpole event and select meeting travel is required
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in sponsorship consulting with a focus on women's sports.
- 3+ years of experience in sponsorship consulting with a focus on the WNBA
- Experience delivering successful sponsorship strategies and activations
- Experience with the sponsorship landscape, including important players, trends, and best practices
- Network of contacts within the sports, entertainment, and non-profit industries
- Experience working with athletes and influencers
- Experience with the broader sponsorship landscape is helpful (NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, and F1)
- Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions
- Produce creative solutions to business and marketing challenges facing our clients
- BA/BS in Marketing related field
The annual salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
