Position Overview:
The Solution Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the key projects and solution engineer tasks are fulfilled. The primary function of this position is to directly manage multiple solution engineers including contractors. The Solution Engineering Manager also provides sponsor-level governance on key client projects
What you'll do:
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled solution engineers while ensuring the company objectives and goals are met
Provide direct reports with guidance on development and growth
Conduct weekly tactical check-ins with direct reports and other key resources to understand any project/client risks within your portfolio and/or any personnel issues and concerns
Provide regular reporting to senior management regarding key accounts, client escalations, and personnel updates
Build relationships and liaise with other regional Solution Engineer Managers to ensure a high-quality client experience
Engage in ongoing process improvement and methodology initiatives
Serve as a point of escalation for clients who encounter technical issues during implementation or as an internal escalation point for project teams
Manage the bandwidth of the Solution Engineers
What you'll need:
4+ years of experience in the consulting/professional services industry with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Team player with the ability to coordinate work with all team members
Highly collaborative and flexible, can easily adapt to changing/evolving role requirements
Emotionally intelligent, engaging listener and thoughtful communicator possessing exceptional written and verbal skills
Strong communicator, personable and collaborative
Demonstrate maturity and acumen navigating business and professional environments
Excellent hands-on skills with office productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
Proven ability to learn and a strong desire to learn
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to explain software to non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the legal sector, in particular experience with industry-standard legal software systems
Familiarity with new business intake and conflicts solutions, time entry and capture solutions and/or ethical wall and information barrier solutions
Cloud and SAAS experience
Issue tracking system (e.g. JIRA)
