CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Manager of Software Quality Assurance to join our talented Information Technology team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

In this position you should have the following; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Most important, demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

This role is to develop, establish, and enforce quality, release, process and architecture standards for the information technology services within the organization. They oversee the Quality, Release and Application Architecture functions. They will direct research and development in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements over the course of the software development lifecycle. They will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes and ensure careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Manager of Software Quality Assurance role:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the quality engineering team, overseeing test planning, execution, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage a team of onshore and offshore QA leads, automation engineers, and manual testers.

• Drive automation efforts for API, Web, and mobile testing, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring efficient and reliable testing processes throughout the Agile SDLC.

• Own the planning, execution, and reporting of all testing activities for the digital enablement value stream.

• Track key quality metrics to determine release readiness, quality test coverage, and defect rates and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.

• Identify areas for process improvement, automation opportunities, and efficiency gains in quality practices, and drive initiatives to enhance overall testing effectiveness and efficiency.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product Management, and senior leadership to prioritize testing efforts and align quality goals.

• Champion learning, growth, engagement and continuous improvement for yourself and others in the organization.

Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor teams towards achieving business and organizational goals and driving continuous improvement.

Proven experience in leading and managing quality engineering teams, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.

What you will need:

  • 7 years of relevant experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proficiency in one of the programming languages (ex: JavaScript, Python, C#)
  • Knowledge of DevOps best practices and experience with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
