The Job At-A-Glance:

As an Engineering Manager on the team, you will lead a team of software engineers, machine learning engineers, and other technical roles. We are looking for an exceptional people manager who understands that their main job is to deliver great products for the benefit of our customers and Q2.  You will be responsible for owning products and services, working closely with our Product Management partners and other engineering leaders to ensure their continued and growing success.  Your team will have direct interaction with our customers as you develop new products and services, taking them from idea to prototype to production.  Technical leadership is critical, as you will play a key role in guiding architecture design and process improvement for the team. 

A Typical Day:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team building cloud-native AI solutions. 
  • Drive technical strategy and architecture designs for scalable, production-grade systems. 
  • Partner with Product Management to define roadmaps for delivering customer value. 
  • Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and operational excellence. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. 
  • Manage team performance, career development, and hiring. 
  • Collaborate across organizations to ensure successful product launches and operations.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience. 

  • Typically requires 1-2 years managing and developing employees. 

  • Experience building products using a cloud-native architecture in AWS (or similar). 

  • Experience working as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Backend Engineer or similar. At a minimum, familiarity with machine learning.
