As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams and overseeing daily implementation activities. Job responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation.
- Partners with leadership team for driving NFR, Modernization initiatives and controls.
- Actively participate in the design, development, and review of code to ensure high-quality software solutions.
- Write, test, and maintain code as needed to support project goals and deadlines.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on leading technology projects concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
- 8+ years of Java software development experience with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadershp role.
- Working experience in Java, React, and cloud technologies like AWS.
- Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Java, Python etc.
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
- Practical cloud native experience such as AWS.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, driving them to deliver while fostering and collaborative partnership.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working at code level.
- Experience with AI, preferably with LLM and Generative solutions.
