United Overseas Bank Ltd - Manager/Senior Officer
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Manager/Senior Officer. This role involves contributing to the effective operation and growth of a specific department within United Overseas Bank, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to all regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Manage and oversee daily operational activities within the assigned department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the bank's overall objectives.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Prepare and present reports on departmental performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
* Handle complex customer inquiries and escalations, providing exceptional service and resolution.
* Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing expertise and insights.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Proven track record of strong leadership, team management, and development skills.
* In-depth understanding of banking operations, products, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant banking software.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
