The Sales Training Manager (STM) is primarily responsible for the development, delivery, and management of highly effective and business critical sales training programs designed to ensure consistent selling excellence across multiple disease states.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of all live and virtual training programs, including initial (new hire), launch, advanced and continuous training.
  • Manage live and virtual classroom environments in a manner that allows participants to achieve defined learning objectives.
  • Engage in effective workshop delivery utilizing high-impact learning activities that adhere to adult learning principles.
  • Evaluate the competency levels of training cohort participants and provide coaching.
  • Identify skill or knowledge gaps and design of training programs to address learning needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to ensure training content accurately reflects product information, market trends, compliance protocols, and/or customer demands.
  • Conduct ongoing training needs analysis, and in alignment with cross-functional partners (sales; marketing; market access; sales ops), modify the training plan as needed.
  • Model a mindset of continuous learning, development, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of high performing experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech sales, sales management, and/or sales training.
  • Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, industry regulations, and emerging trends.
  • Demonstrated adeptness in cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic, fast-based business environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • This position offers the option of either hybrid or remote-based, with 25% of travel to be expected for this role.
