The Manager Reservoir Engineering responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of reservoir engineers, ensuring technical excellence and professional development.
- Manage and evolve subsurface well designs through reservoir diagnostics and science programs.
- Design and conduct scientific tests to optimize well design, integrating the design of experiments planning with defined lookback expectations for thorough evaluations and comprehensive data analysis to assess the success of each test.
- Oversee the development of probabilistic and deterministic type curves for production forecasting, underwriting, and reserves support.
- Lead well, hydraulic fracturing, and reservoir modeling.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, completions, and production teams to enhance well performance and recovery factors.
- Lead comprehensive project economic analysis.
- Manage technical type curve support for Corporate Reserves and well design audits.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure staff development through training, performance management, and career progression opportunities.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or similar engineering degree
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas.
- Extensive experience in asset development and optimization, reserves management, production forecasting, and subsurface strategy.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coding experience in R/RStudio Workbench, Python, Azure Data Studio, SQL, Spotfire, Power BI, and Alteryx.
- Corporate Reserves preparation and reporting experience.
- Multidisciplinary experience in Production/Operations, Completions, Drilling, Corporate/Business Development, or Audit.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Master’s, MBA, or professional engineering licenses.
- Experience with ComboCurve, Whitson, Well Test software or other similar programs preferred.
- Experience with Reservoir Simulation preferred.
- Reservoir modeling background, experience modeling shale reservoirs preferred.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
