Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking is a Strategic Planning Manager for our Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) Division onsite in Linthicum, MD. This is a leadership opportunity reporting to the Director of Strategy for the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Chief Technology Officer and is focused on analyzing, planning, coordinating and leading allocation of resources and focused initiatives to drive value growth and improve organizational efficiency. This is a high visibility role with opportunity to interact with and present to executive leadership.
What You'll Get to Do:
This leader will engage with diverse business and technical leaders to develop comprehensive comprehensive investment planning portfolios that optimize for business outcomes over near, mid, and long term time horizons. The will partner with external division and sector strategic growth leaders to develop and refine strategic planning approaches, tools, and analyses and support sector-level investment prioritization for senior executive adjudication. Specific responsibilities include:
- Investment recommendations aligned to ECD strategy.
- Lead annual investment planning process and continuous process improvement.
- ECD-BU’s investment liaison.
- Management and oversight of investment resources.
- Quarterly investment reviews.
- Monthly investment analysis and reporting.
- Continuous investment process improvement and training.
- MS Sector Strategy engagement.
- Communication with Sector Strategic Growth on current year NCTA Allocations and Movements.
- Current and Future NCTA Planning and Execution with BM.
- Allocation Planning and Management of ECD ITA funding.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Economics, or Business and 10+ years' OR a Master's Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Economics, or Business with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience in program management and/or strategic planning.
- Financial analysis of large budgets.
- Demonstrated success developing and delivering persuasive executive level presentations.
- Experience working collaboratively across business functions (i.e. business management, strategy, business leaders, contracts, etc).
- Demonstrated ability leading multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.
- US Citizen.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Top Secret / SSBI.
- Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Economics, or Business.
- Experienced with Agile development practices and tools.
Salary Range: $172,500.00 - $258,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
