Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Program Manager for the Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) Program in Huntsville, AL. M-SHORAD encompasses the design, development, testing, integration and production of Air and Missile Defense Planning and Control System (AMDPCS) tactical shelters delivering enhanced air defense capabilities, improved supportability, and standardization across all echelons and critical protection of Stryker and Armor Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) based maneuver forces.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for all programmatic elements including cost, technical and schedule performance activities. You will be responsible for developing and driving the strategic vision for those program elements and leading organic growth of the team. You will frequently interface with a variety of customer leadership and government personnel in this role, facilitating collaboration across functional teams and providing key updates.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of program management leadership experience; Master's degree with 3 years of program management experience; 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated customer interface skills
- Demonstrated large-team organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated executive communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Experience in program-level financial management and reporting (Earned Value Management, Control Account Management, Risk & Opportunity Management)
- Comprehension of organizational financial management and reporting (Annual Operating Plan / Long Range Strategic Plan)
- Strong project management skills while executing within cost and schedule constraints
- Resource planning and program staffing to plan
- Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of program management experience on a high-visibility production program
- CAM experience and proficiency on an Earned Value Management program
- Proposal development experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar
Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $217,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
