You will provide mentorship, direction, and craft guidance, while also collaborating deeply with cross-functional partners to elevate both design outcomes and product performance. You will be responsible for ensuring design quality across multiple pods and programs, advocating for best practices, fostering a thriving team culture, and creating the conditions for innovation, speed, and scale. What you'll do as a Manager, Product Design
- Directly manage a team of product designers ranging from junior to senior levels.
- Provide clear, growth-minded feedback through regular 1:1s, performance conversations, and design critique.
- Champion a culture of learning, inclusion, and design excellence across the Sportsbook design team.
- Oversee and guide design work across multiple initiatives to ensure a high standard of quality, cohesion and user impact.
- Deliver clear, actionable and strategic feedback, while empowering designers to take ownership and iterate on their solutions.
- Utilize design systems, research, and insights to inform decisions and ensure best-in-class experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functional partners- including Product, Engineering, Research, Analytics- to define vision, priorities, and execution plans for key product initiatives.
- Identify and address process, tooling, or organizational gaps that hinder design velocity or quality.
- Contribute to vertical- and company-level design strategy in collaboration with senior leaders.
- Advocate for the strategic value of design in solving complex business problems and shaping player behavior.
- Represent design in leadership forums and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions around product vision, roadmap, performance, and product-market fit.
What you'll bring
- 8+ years of experience in Product Design, with at least 1-2 years of people management or team leadership experience.
- A portfolio that showcases not only great product work, but the ability to guide others, solve systemic problems, and influence outcomes.
- Proven experience leading high-quality mobile design efforts in complex environments (bonus if within gaming, fintech, or similar).
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, visual design, interaction design, and product strategy.
- Ability to zoom between the big picture and pixel-level details-knowing when to roll up your sleeves.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience working with and contributing to established design systems.
- A passion for sports, betting, and/or high-stakes real-time experiences is a plus
