Position Overview

Interdependence is seeking a highly organized and strategic Marketing & Business Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operational and internal marketing engine of the agency. This individual will work closely with the Chief of Staff and President to ensure agency-wide priorities, internal systems, communications, and brand marketing efforts are executed smoothly and effectively. Key Responsibilities:

Agency Operations & Internal Infrastructure

  • Oversee firmwide operational processes including timesheet compliance, capacity reporting, and knowledge management.

  • Maintain a centralized calendar of key internal initiatives including all-hands meetings, offsites, onboarding, and performance cycles.

  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Client Services to deliver reports and track resource allocation.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations using new tools or updated systems.

Marketing & Brand Infrastructure

  • Manage internal marketing deliverables including client newsletters, website updates, and the agency’s thought leadership pipeline.

  • Oversee award submission process and calendar, collaborating with account teams to highlight top work.

  • Partner with business development leads to maintain proposal decks and marketing collateral.

  • Coordinate firm-led events, partnerships, and initiatives that enhance visibility.

Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Lead internal engagement efforts such as onboarding milestones, anniversaries, birthdays, and all-staff meeting content.

  • Support HR in employee experience programs, surveys, and retention projects.

  • Maintain and regularly update the agency’s internal SOP to ensure consistent practices across teams.

Client & Business Development Support

  • Serve as an operational and marketing voice in internal business development discussions.

  • Monitor and report on new business pipeline activity and marketing-led lead generation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in agency operations, internal communications, marketing, or project management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Google Workspace and project management tools.

  • Analytical mindset with a strong grasp of systems thinking, dashboards, and process optimization.

  • Collaborative and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly under pressure.

  • Discreet and professional when handling sensitive or confidential information.

  • Bonus: Experience working in a PR or marketing agency and familiarity with hybrid team operations.
