The PrizePicks Analytics Team is responsible for building and maintaining analytical tools and products to support the PrizePicks business across all departments - at the core of these operations is data.  As Manager, Marketing Data Science, you will lead the team that advances the Marketing team’s capabilities, driving initiatives around machine learning model development & causal inference to enable better decision making.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead a team of data scientists, covering topics across retention and acquisition marketing
  • Oversee the development & maintenance of production-grade machine learning models, across topics such as customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, media mix modeling, and attribution
  • Manage projects centered around marketing data analysis, including leveraging causal inference frameworks, to assess the impact of efforts and drive outcomes
  • Mentor junior team members, enhancing analytical rigor throughout the PrizePicks Analytics Team
  • Effectively manage projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing data science efforts with the overall company & marketing goals
What you have:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a people leadership role, managing and growing a team of data scientists in a marketing science / econometrics function
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, econometrics, statistics, math, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in building machine learning models, and in performing data analysis and statistical modeling, with a focus on predictive behavioral data (CLV, Churn, Personalization, Segmentation)
  • Proven experience leveraging causal inference frameworks (e.g. difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls) to assess impact and drive business outcomes
  • Proficiency in statistics, and ability to use programming languages (i.e. Python, R) for statistical computing, model development, and data visualization
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Outstanding analytical problem solving capabilities
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data science projects on time and within budget 
Where you’ll live:
  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote

The typical salary range for this position is $165,000 to $205,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges. The compensation info you see on our job postings gives you an idea of the starting pay range for the position. Your actual pay within that range will depend on your specific work location, as well as your skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter will be happy to chat more about the specific pay range for your location and how we arrived at it during the hiring process.
