Summary:

  • Lead cross-functional IT teams across Cloud Support and Data Center operations, providing mentorship, resource allocation, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Oversee infrastructure initiatives, including HCI cluster deployments, data center lifecycle refreshes, and firewall/vendor migrations, ensuring secure and reliable operations.

  • Manage virtualization platforms, driving migrations from VMware ESXi to Microsoft Hyper-V to optimize costs and standardize environments.

  • Direct network, server, and storage projects, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions to support enterprise needs.

  • Establish and maintain enterprise monitoring and access control systems, ensuring 24/7 uptime, security, and compliance across all sites.

  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Intune, Entra, Exchange, Azure AD), enhancing collaboration, endpoint management, and identity governance.

  • Coordinate Agile planning through Azure DevOps, guiding multiple teams in setting and achieving quarterly and annual priorities.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Director of IT in managing day-to-day operations, prioritizing projects, and implementing solutions across security, infrastructure, and cloud services.

  • Coordinate and deliver IT projects by aligning staff, user departments, and data center resources, while fostering cross-training and knowledge transfer opportunities for team growth.

  • Collaborate with Security Operations (SecOps) and Support Desk to implement and maintain security systems, enforce RBAC/least-privilege standards, and safeguard against unauthorized access or data loss.

  • Manage enterprise infrastructure and platforms, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks, servers, storage, patch management, and monitoring systems.

  • Oversee continuity and resilience practices, including disaster recovery, backup procedures, and proactive system health monitoring across physical and virtual environments.

  • Act as a technical escalation point for the Cloud Support and Data Center Support teams, providing subject matter expertise on systems and networking while mentoring and developing IT team members.

  • Assist in managing IT staff lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting professional development initiatives.

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, or a related role including 2 years of direct people management

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop IT staff in fast-paced environments, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and project supervision.

  • Hands-on expertise in infrastructure and networking, including SAN/NAS, VLANs, VoIP, QoS, ACLs, and enterprise switch/firewall platforms.

  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V) and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong background in Microsoft ecosystems, including Windows Server (2012–2025), Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and Intune.

  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, including CLI-based administration, scripting, and system management.

  • Expertise in network services and protocols, including DHCP, DNS, RADIUS/NPS, VPNs (SSL & IPSec), syslog, RMM and NMS platforms.

  • Security-focused mindset, with experience in MFA, SSO/SAML, IPS/IDS systems, log aggregation, monitoring tools, and security hunting methodologies.

  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies, with experience implementing resilient enterprise solutions.

  • Familiarity with industry certifications such as Network+, Server+, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, VCP, or equivalent.
