About the role:

The Manager, Insurance Product Innovation & Emerging Solutions supports the development and advancement of insurance lifestyle product concepts. These concepts include lifestyle-based offerings, multicultural, and condition-specific products, to mention a few.

You will operate as a hands-on innovation product manager, translating strategy into testable concepts, supporting pilot development, and coordinating efforts to bring new solutions from idea to scalable opportunity.

You will report into the Vice President, Insurance Product Innovation and Development.

Work Location: This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $135,792 - $178,227 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is:: $122,212- $160,404 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Innovation & Concept Development
    • Promote development of new insurance product concepts and health solutions (e.g., lifestyle-based, multicultural, condition-specific health plans)
    • Translate strategy into early-stage designs, value propositions, and use cases
    • Identify opportunities based on member needs, health disparities, and market trends to differentiate and win
    Lifestyle, Multicultural, & Population Health Solutions
    • Contribute to development of culturally-aligned and population-specific offerings
    • Support design of condition-focused solutions (e.g., chronic condition or disease-specific concepts)
    • Help shape offerings that improve engagement, outcomes, and provider/member experience
    Market & Opportunity Analysis
    • Analyze market, competitive, and member analysis to inform innovation priorities
    • Support opportunity sizing and business case inputs for new concepts
    Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Partner with product design, clinical, network, actuarial, corporate strategy, and growth teams
    • Coordinate inputs and timelines to move concepts from brainstorming to pilot and launch
    • Support documentation, decision-making, and partner agreement efforts
    Pilot Execution & Learning
    • Support execution of pilots and early-stage programs
    • Track performance, gather insights, and summarize insights
    • Recommend whether to refine, pivot, or discontinue product concepts
    • Lead different teams to develop requirements and support implementation.
    • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
    • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, health insurance, product management (ACA or Small Group), or corporate strategy
  • Experience supporting product development, consumer journey mapping, improvement plans, or pilot programs
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with health insurance product development, population health, or member engagement solutions
  • Familiarity with multicultural or underserved population strategies
  • Exposure to condition-based or clinically oriented product models
  • Experience in early-stage product development or experimentation

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
