Reporting directly to AVP, Head of MDM and RIS, this position will be technical hands-on Product Owner and manager of the Agile teams supporting Global Party Management capability. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Master data management practices and technical expertise in data architecture, modeling, data engineering, data quality tools and master data platforms. This role is critical for enabling a unified Customer 360° view, supporting compliance, driving operational efficiency and improving customer experience through robust master data, data governance and integration management. They will be responsible for delivery of high quality accurate, consistent, and governed master data across MetLife US Lines of Business.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $137,700. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
Master Data Management - Product and Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with IT, D&A and business teams to develop GPM roadmap. Intake, prioritize and resource projects to effectively enhance customer master data and deliver value for strategic business initiatives.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for master data architecture, data models, mastering strategies, data integration with APIs and other data ingestion and consumption patterns, engineering of data pipelines with embedded security, access controls and data governance best practices.
- Establish and enforce standards for operational excellence to ensure GPM is a high availability, high reliability and high-quality master data platform.
- Stay updated with industry trends in the field of master data, analytics & AI to provide thought leadership and bring new concepts and ideas to MetLife.
Process Optimization
- Track and report on KPIs for MDM Operations - such as SLA compliance, incident rates and resolution times etc.
- Identify pain points and develop strategies to improve operations and quality of master data
- Drive automation and scalability initiatives.
Data Governance & Quality
- Champion modern data governance and stewardship practices, leverage automation and analytics to proactively monitor, report and improve master data quality.
- Establish data quality standards, collaborate with IT SOR owners to ensure high quality customer data is propagated through the organization.
- Create approaches to consistently enhance master data quality metrics.
Agile Delivery Management
- Utilize Agile framework to manage GPM agile teams and workstreams. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement using team and delivery metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage and influence key stakeholders across business, IT and vendors to drive alignment of GPM roadmap with strategic priorities. Demonstrate ownership, drive high confidence and promote wide adoption of GPM through collaboration, communication and continuous feedback for GPM initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Coach and mentor a geographically distributed team of data analysts, data engineers, mainframe developers, quality analysts and data stewards.
- Enable cultural shift from a traditional operations & technology-focused data team to a business-outcome-driven mindset
- Foster a culture of growth, accountability and innovation.
- Drive high levels of team engagement
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in data management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Master Data Management platforms, data integration technologies and data governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL, Informatica Power Center, Informatica MDM platform and API integration.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools.
- Strong strategic thinking, systems thinking and analytical skills.
- Effective presentation skills, excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships within all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in insurance or financial services industry.
- Advanced certifications in data governance or MDM.
- Experience with Data Quality tools like Ataccama.
