The Manager of Vendor Master Data Management (VMDM) is responsible for translating business product goals and objectives and partnering with the Product Team to develop actionable product strategies to put forward a product to solution that aligns with the company's goals and meets customer needs. This role is the 'business owner' over VMDM which is responsible for partnering with Product to develop a roadmap which provides business value to both internal and external end users. This role works closely with the Commercial Systems and Tools team to effectively plan, test, and deploy key capabilities.

Essential job functions:
- Responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by defining and prioritizing key initiatives to optimize the vendor onboarding process inside the existing VMDM tool.
- Business owner of the Vendor Master Data Management tool (VMDM).
- Collaborates with IT, Product and 3 rd party tool support to ensure the tool's functionality aligns with business needs.
- Responsible for collaborating across cross-functional teams to understand the 'voice of the customer' across the ecosystem of business users to drive tool prioritization. Responsible for championing the needs of the customer to the Product team and working with Product to prioritize the backlog from a business value perspective.
- Supports the development of detailed specifications for product features so that they are understood by the development teams when they are handed over for execution.
- Leads team that interfaces between the business and product to understand new features/functions to partner with the Commercial Systems and Tools team to create relevant test scripts and to drive UAT activities, participate in scrum ceremonies, and supports change management activities (e.g. training, communications).
- Directly connects with the VMDM support function to understand root cause for IT tickets to determine the "solve" required within the platform based on ticket volume.
- Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, operations, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in project management (e.g. Agile/Product Teams ways of working), operations, or product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle/processes.
- 4+ years of previous leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively and delivering.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) processes and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies for product management, project management, and data analysis
- Knowledge of quality standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices
- Ability to drive change and innovation
Preferred:
- Lean/Six Sigma Certifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of existing Product Management System
