In this role, you will collaborate with the Advanced Wealth Planning team, key partners and advisors to assess, consult, and develop financial planning proposals, strategies, & deliverables for advisors and their high-net-worth clients and prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of complex financial planning concepts including legacy/estate, retirement, business and tax planning strategies
  • Ensure accurate and timely case documentation
  • Prepare case strategies, recommendations and advice materials to support advisor and their high-net-worth clients
  • Partner cross-organizationally with Ameriprise India, WMS, Ameriprise Bank, and RVS to develop comprehensive solutions appropriate for high-net-worth client case

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ financial planning experience
  • Experience working with the HNW market segment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • FINRA Series 7, 66 (63 & 65) or ability to obtain within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning strategies, including estate, tax, business, retirement, equity compensation
  • Solid understanding of financial planning process
  • Ability to quickly analyze complex situations and synthesize into easy-to-understand advice
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others across the organization
  • Experience with advisors assessing their needs, identifying suitable strategies and making actionable recommendations
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client cases and priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with field leaders, advisors and clients

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $91,600 - $123,700 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
