Job Summary:
Centric Software is seeking a highly skilled hands-on Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will oversee global sales commission accounting and related financial reporting. This role is responsible for accurate and timely calculation of sales commissions and to account for sales compensation and revenue contract costs in accordance with IFRS 15, corporate policy, and SOX controls.
The Manager, Global Sales Compensation, will prepare and/or oversee the preparation of monthly account analysis and reconciliations, related monthly financial reporting and metrics. This role will report to the Director, Technical Revenue Accounting & Sales Compensation and will supervise the Sales Compensation Team.
The Manager, Global Sales Compensation, is a key member of the Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience applying best practices to sales compensation and SOX compliance while working in the sales compensation function for a public company (experience in accounting is a plus). This role requires a person who performs at a high level of accuracy and efficiency, is well organized, communicates effectively and demonstrates ownership and initiative to accomplish goals as set by the Director, Technical Revenue Accounting & Global Sales Compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
“The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150 - $180 base + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Candidates who exceed the specified experience and relevant education or training may be considered for compensation above the stated range. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect base salary, and certain positions may be offered additional variable incentives.”

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the administration of Global Sales Incentive Plan including timely electronic distribution of plans and tracking acceptance, individual plan set-up in the system, process adjustments, and data validation.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple departments, including Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, and Sales, to ensure accurate data used in sales compensation calculations
- Ensure accurate and timely calculation of sales compensation and accruals
- Perform and/or review validation of monthly commission calculations, prior to accrual
- Account for sales compensation and costs to obtain sales contracts in accordance with IFRS 15
- Prepare and/or oversee preparation of monthly account analysis, reconciliations, and related financial reporting and metrics
- Ensure day-to-day department compliance with policies and procedures and SOX controls
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll submission, sales commission statement publication, and response to sales team inquiries
- Manage the sales compensation team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and at least 5 years’ applicable work experience
- Corporate accounting experience within a public company, preferred
- Knowledge of accounting for costs to obtain customer contracts under IFRS 15 (or ASC 606 & Subtopic 340-40)
- Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently, think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative business data
- Financial and Business Acumen: Proven success in evaluating financial and business indicators and translating that data into actionable goals / models to drive results in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment
- Problem Solving Skills: Demonstrated strong experience using rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
- Relationship Management: Proven success in building constructive and effective relationships throughout a diverse set of business partners
- Leadership Experience: Ability to influence at all levels, and to communicate work effectively and assertively within a team environment
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including Sales, Management, Executives
- Interpersonal Skills: Professional, courteous, friendly, and empathetic
- Ability to handle multiple projects with high attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Expertise in MS Excel – experience with pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, etc.
- Expertise using ERPs such as NetSuite (NetSuite preferred)
- Expertise using Salesforce and incentive compensation tools (ZenCentiv, Xactly, etc.) preferred
