Who we are…

Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility. We develop technology-enabled solutions that help the world move safely and easily. We are fostering the development of safe cities, working with police departments and municipalities to install over 4,000 red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety cameras across North America. We are also creating smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations for over 8.5 million vehicles. And we are a leading provider of connected systems, processing nearly 165 million transactions each year across 50+ individual tolling authorities.

What you’ll be doing…

As the Manager of Global Learning and Development, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of learning initiatives internally and externally as a function of our Global Operations team. In this role, you will oversee a global training team, partner with cross-functional leaders and Human Resources to identify skill gaps, and design scalable programs that align with business objectives and contractual requirements. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive learning strategy, managing training schedules and content, and ensuring performance metrics and success indicators are met. With a strong focus on innovation, compliance, and global integration, you will drive a culture of continuous learning and development while mentoring your team and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance, both lead and manage a global Learning and Development (L&D) team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global L&D strategy aligned with business goals and contractual obligations.
  • Partner with senior leadership, Human Resources, and cross-functional teams to assess training needs and close skill gaps.
  • Design, deploy, and evaluate scalable training programs using a variety of instructional methods (e.g., in-person, virtual, on-the-job).
  • Oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of training content, ensuring version control, quality assurance, and compliance with proprietary standards.
  • Manage global training schedules, user role assignments, and credentialing processes.
  • Monitor and report on training effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs), OKRs, and other success metrics.
  • Support the planning and execution of training-related events, including client onboarding, internal rollouts, and ongoing development initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic partner in the innovation and continuous improvement of L&D practices to meet evolving industry and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Product, IT, Engineering, Legal, and Operations to ensure training aligns with current tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of global cultural nuances and adapt training approaches to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness across regions.
  • Champion a culture of learning and professional growth throughout the organization.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned to meet operational needs.

What we’re looking for…

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for developing people and building impactful learning experiences on a global scale. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution. Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are clear, persuasive, and adaptable across cultures and organizational levels. You bring a collaborative spirit, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to align learning initiatives with business goals. With a strong sense of ownership and a data-driven mindset, you continuously seek ways to improve training effectiveness and team performance. You are energized by leading others, navigating complexity, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

 You’ll need to have…

  • BS/BA Degree and/or 5+ years related experience in the Learning & Development & client training role
  • 3+ years of influential people leadership, including demonstrated skills ranging from work direction, motivation, coaching/feedback, and developing assigned staff
  • Experience in instructional design and development of training materials
  • Exceptional knowledge of training concepts, tools, and processes to meet our client needs with efficiency and success

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience designing and managing eLearning
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and/or Content Management Systems

Where you’ll be working…

In this role, you’ll work remotely from a home office, collaborating with a global team across time zones and cultures. While your day-to-day responsibilities will be carried out virtually, you’ll stay closely connected through regular video meetings, digital collaboration tools, and ongoing communication with cross-functional partners. This setup offers the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining strong alignment with business objectives, team goals, and strategic initiatives.

This position will require 25% travel throughout the year.
