The Role:

The Manager, Global Compensation is part of the Global Total Rewards team and is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s global compensation strategy, policies, and programs. The role collaborates with HRIS and Finance for process and reporting support, assists with executive compensation materials, and ensures regulatory compliance. It also involves supervising a compensation analyst, supporting HR partners, and guiding special projects to maintain competitive and compliant compensation practices.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global compensation program design across all service lines that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Lead market analysis and competitive benchmarking to ensure the company’s compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards.
  • Lead initiatives for salary structure development and incentive design; participate in job evaluation and role architecture projects.
  • Lead the year-end promotion and compensation review process – ensuring merit and bonus guidelines are followed and implemented. Create and implement compensation statements and communication materials.
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of third party Pay Equity tool and initiatives and summarize findings for leadership review.
  • Partner with Compensation Analyst to assist in the administration of equity programs and deferred compensation plan.
  • Assist in the development of Compensation Committee meeting materials related to executive compensation, including preparing presentations, reports, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual Proxy and other SEC-required reporting requirements.
  • Partner with HRIS team to maintain Workday compensation processes, compensation module, reporting and Prism database.
  • Partner with Finance team on incentive calculation, annual budgets and accrual reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR business partners on compensation related matters.
  • Provide analysis and insights on global compensation trends as well as federal, state, local, and/or provisional laws and regulations to management.
  • Lead special projects, acting as the Compensation subject matter expert on various projects.
  • Supervise a compensation analyst.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in compensation management with a focus on global compensation programs.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information.
  • Must have advanced Excel and analytical skills, including Pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Advanced reporting and database skills, including creating reports, updating data, running queries, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to non-compensation professionals.
  • Strong detail orientation, ability to meet deadlines, agile and flexible to rapid change.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and flexible hours as needed; ability to drive to results and meet strict deadlines.
  • An ability to build long-term, trusting relationships with stakeholders and with other colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in compensation analytics, benchmarking, and design. Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • CCP or similar designation preferred.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Experience developing and managing compensation programs preferred
  • Experience working across multiple geographies preferred

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The salary range for this position is 135000 USD to 150000 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills. In addition to your salary, Heidrick & Struggles offers discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Note: we have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
