About the Job Opportunity
The Manager, FP&A (Services) plays a critical role in the business performing financial reporting, forecasting, and analyses to support senior leadership, including the CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors. The individual in this role will utilize both quantitative and qualitative analysis to increase business efficiencies and profitability, provide enhanced visibility to business operations and performance; and support execution against the business' annual budget, and strategic long-range plan.
What You'll Do
- Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including business segment P&L results and variance analysis, product and channel analysis, and department operating results
- Manage complex financial and analytical models to conduct high-quality analysis of business performance, including creating and maintaining statistical and/or actuarial models and analysis
- Perform ongoing portfolio monitoring and book performance evaluation, including actuarial and/or profitability analysis, supporting the business’ technical pricing, vendor management and commercial strategies
- Integrate new planning, forecasting, and analysis capabilities while enhancing existing budgeting and financial models
- Act as a liaison/partner between the Finance function and other internal stakeholders and departments, including working with department leaders to build their annual budgets
- Lead annual and ad hoc analysis supporting key strategic initiatives and the long-range strategic planning process
- Support and lead ongoing system, process and policy transformation efforts and initiatives, including data governance and automation initiatives
What You'll Bring
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant FP&A or related financial analysis experience, including prior experience in insurance, warranty/equipment maintenance, service contracts, or related area(s)
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related major
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (e.g., utilization of advanced formulas and macros, keyboard shortcuts, pivot tables and graph production) and PowerPoint
- Actuarial qualification (for example, Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society) preferred, but not a must

- Adaptable to change and able to function well individually or in a team environment, including ability to work both collaboratively and independently under pressure
- Well organized, self-starter who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunities to improve outcomes
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail, including an ability to write precisely and concisely
