Job Summary:
The Manager of Financial Controls will develop and manage the strategic direction of the Financial Controls team in support of divisional objectives. Oversee the design, development and maintenance of strong financial controls processes and data governance across Corporate Finance and Accounting (“CFA”). Lead the Financial Controls team to provide subject matter expertise in internal control design and redesign. Responsible for the creation of a proactive risk management framework for the department. Help optimize the CFA organization by identifying and driving continuous improvements to departmental processes using LEAN management practices.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a CFA Financial Controls strategy with a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement across the division. Proactively determine potential operational, financial, and compliance risks that could impede achievement of divisional Financial Controls objectives. Work with CFA management teams to form mitigation and resolution plans as well as continuous improvement strategies. Create a structure for ongoing maintenance of Financial Controls risk management activities. Partner with operational leaders to lead divisional process changes needed to ensure a sustainable organization. (25%)
- Manage and direct a professional staff involved with the ongoing design, testing and maintenance of Financial Controls risk management activities. Develop and maintain effective and responsive communication with team members to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical performance factors and accurate financial information. Oversight of team performance and continued development. (25%)
- Work with Enterprise Data governance teams to help develop and enforce data governance policies that define how financial data should be managed, accessed, and protected within the organization. Implement and monitor controls to maintain high data quality, ensuring that financial data is accurate, complete and consistent. Collaborate with CFA teams and the enterprise to promote a culture of data governance and provide training to ensure that employees understand and adhere to data governance policies. (25%)
- Manage, assess and report out on Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators associated with CFA. Develop and maintain effective and responsive communication to ensure timely deliverables and facilitate continued training and development. Results of ongoing monitoring and comprehensive analysis of blockers is communicated to executive level management and governance groups monthly. (15%)
- Consult on internal control design and redesign needs for CFA. In this capacity, lead the implementation of new controls or compliance requirements, as needed. Responsible for maintenance of the CFA repository for Internal Control over Financial Reporting (“ICFR”) control narratives and SOC1 coordination. (10%)
Skills and Background You’ll Need:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA (preferred)
Experience:
- Eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience in business environment, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of controls frameworks and risk analysis models; financial controls principles and concepts.
- Advanced analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated change management skills.
- Support and/or development of a data governance program preferred but not required.

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
$95,250.00 - $152,250.00Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
