Title: Manager of Finance Technology & Data Optimization

Location: Remote within the US

Job Summary: Following the recent merger of Transact + CBORD we are seeking a Manager of Finance Technology & Data Optimization to lead the design, optimization, and governance of our financial systems and data analytics. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and strategic use of financial data across the business. In this high-impact role, you'll partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic insights, drive business planning, and support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience budgeting, forecasting, and building dashboard analytics, managing FP&A systems/tools and a strong understanding of database concepts.

Key Highlights:

  • Financial System Ownership: Lead and manage integration of financial systems to ensure unified data flow and operational efficiency between ERP, FP&A, and BI tools.
  • Data Management: Oversee the architecture and governance of financial data, enabling scalable access for reporting and analytics.
  • Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate with cross functional leaders throughout the organization to align systems/analytics with strategic goals that supports business decision-making.
  • Financial Forecasting & Analytics: Drive enhancements to forecasting process, models and reporting. Support the delivery of monthly/quarterly quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial results, including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted.
  • Process Transformer: You are excited by the autonomy to manage core FP&A tools, eager to enhance financial analytics, improve planning processes, and implement automation to drive greater efficiency and accuracy

Other Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data across platforms.
  • Drive optimization in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes with system-driven insights and reconciliations.
  • Manage system upgrades, user access, and documentation to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to improve financial analysis and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of FP&A and BI experience, preferably in a SaaS or Technology environment. Investment banking or management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in 3-Statement financial modeling/forecasting, advanced Excel skills and robust understanding of financial KPIs.
  • Technical knowledge of financial software systems, database management, SQL, and other BI tools.
  • Experience with FP&A tool DataRails a plus.
  • Curious problem-solver, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, flexible, fast-paced environment.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
