The Manager, Employer Group Retention is responsible for growing membership within existing accounts and for directly managing business relationships with client accounts. The Manager, Employer Group Retention works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.
The Manager, Employer Group Retention oversees customer account management and profitable growth through negotiating contracts and agreements. Develops and oversees customer retention campaigns. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Employee Group Benefits Sales or Account Management.
- 2+ years managing a sales or account management team preferred.
- Proficiency in peer mentoring, influencing skills and demonstrated ability in seeking out informal and volunteer leadership experiences.
- Demonstrated ability in building relationships with brokers, consultants, and employer groups.
- Deep knowledge of the health insurance industry
- Understanding of competitive landscape in local market.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a positive manner.
- Active life and health license
- Person in this role must be willing to work the Time Zone of the Market Region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$84,700 - $115,500 per year
This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
