About Spark Advisors

We’re Spark, a mission-driven company helping independent Medicare brokers build the insurance business of their dreams. The vast majority of beneficiaries select benefits with the help of an independent broker, but technology and support for brokers is woefully antiquated. We provide workflows and services to help brokers achieve transformative growth.

In just five years, we’ve partnered with over 6,000 brokers and enrolled over 140,000 beneficiaries, making us the fastest-growing Medicare brokerage in the country. Brokers love us: during this period of intense growth, we’ve maintained an NPS of 91 and a client retention rate of 93%, and we’ve helped brokers grow on average >100% since partnering with us.

It’s an exciting time to be at Spark. Our diverse, remote-first team comes from leading technology, healthcare, and insurance companies, and has grown from 70 to 90 in the last year. Most recently, we’ve raised a Series B from leading investors who share our ambition.

Join us: we’re always on the lookout for sharp, talented, empathetic teammates.

Summary

Spark is hiring a Manager of Contracting Operations to ensure our agents continue to receive the industry’s best contracting services as we grow and scale our agent footprint. The contracting team is responsible for onboarding new agents and agencies to Spark, playing a pivotal role in the customer lifecycle and ensuring that every agent is set up for long-term success.

This is a highly visible and impactful role. You will lead a team that serves as the front line for contracting operations—balancing throughput, quality, and efficiency—while continuously looking for ways to make the process faster, simpler, and more agent-friendly. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing high-performing operations teams, thrives in high-volume environments, and has a proven ability to design processes that scale.

As Manager of Contracting Operations, you’ll partner closely with Product, Business Systems, Strategy, and Support to reduce inbound volume, expand self-service, and advocate for product investments that streamline workflows. You’ll not only keep the contracting machine running smoothly, but also play a critical role in shaping how Spark grows and supports its expanding network of agents and agencies.

This role requires an obsession with efficiency, extreme attention to detail, and a passion for process design and optimization. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves, innovate constantly, and inspire your team to deliver excellence at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and scale the contracting operations team

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of 8–10 associates.
  • Set clear performance expectations through SLAs, reporting, and QA processes.
  • Resolve escalations and ensure a high-quality agent experience.

Drive operational efficiency

  • Redesign processes, implement automation, and optimize policies to increase throughput.
  • Track and improve team performance with data-driven insights.
  • Continuously raise efficiency standards while maintaining quality.

Partner cross-functionally

  • Collaborate with Product, Business Systems, and Strategy to reduce inbound volume and expand self-service.
  • Provide insights to leadership on customer and agent behavior.
  • Align with Success team leads to optimize the end-to-end agent and agency experience.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years leading high-throughput operations or support teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Relentless focus on efficiency and optimization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical mindset; comfortable building dashboards and making data driven decisions
  • Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communicator, capable of influencing and aligning stakeholders across teams
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Experience with tools such as Intercom, Dialpad, Airtable or ticketing systems a plus
  • Industry experience not a requirement
