About the Role

As a Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations, you will be a strategic architect of our content ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Head of Content, you will manage complex initiatives that bridge the gap between editorial vision and operational excellence. You will not only streamline traditional workflows but also lead the charge in identifying how AI and automation can scale our impact across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Content to manage high-priority initiatives, including tentpole editorial planning, budget management, and content roadmap execution.

  • Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies to replace manual or repetitive tasks within the content planning and production lifecycle.

  • Architect and maintain automated, AI-assisted performance reporting dashboards to provide real-time insights into audience development and content ROI.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Yahoo Finance content and cross-functional partners (Product, Revenue, Biz Dev) to ensure strategic alignment on complex projects.

  • Lead strategic, ad hoc projects on talent planning, platform prioritization, and content expansion, using AI tools to accelerate research, competitive analysis, and output validation.

  • Build sustainable processes for content tracking and publishing workflows that leverage automation to minimize friction between teams.

  • Stay current on emerging AI tools for media (e.g., automated transcription, AI-assisted video editing workflows) and proactively suggest improvements to the content tech stack.

  • Support partner and vendor management, ensuring all third-party tools are optimized for maximum team productivity.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced digital media, operations, or strategy environment.

  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in an IC capacity.

  • Experience using AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, or specialized media automation) to enhance workflow speed and quality.

  • Strong understanding of digital media consumption and a professional focus on finance, markets, and business news.

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex, multifaceted problems through analytical thinking and innovative solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex operational data into actionable executive summaries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in finance-specific media or fintech operations.

  • Knowledge of prompt engineering or structured interaction with AI tools to generate business insights.

  • Experience managing content management systems (CMS) and advanced analytics platforms.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
