What You'll Do
As a member of the Compliance Team within the Risk Management Organization, you will play a key role in strengthening and advancing our compliance program. You will bring a strong understanding of policy management, along with the ability to manage company-wide compliance training and awareness initiatives and apply compliance frameworks. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to manage compliance initiatives from inception through completion.
You will also:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure policies and training reflect evolving business needs, regulatory changes, internal standards and risk priorities.
  • Manage the company's policy management system, ensuring policies are current and accessible.
  • Execute annual and periodic company-wide compliance training and awareness initiatives, manage the training system, and monitor training completion and effectiveness metrics.
  • Support risk assessments and contribute to the development and execution of the internal annual audit plan.
  • Lead internal audits, assessments, and monitoring activities related to compliance training and policy adherence.
  • Partner with the Director of Corporate Compliance & Risk Management to design, enhance, and streamline operational processes that strengthen compliance (e.g., improving forms, workflows, and documentation practices).
  • Manage assigned compliance projects through collaboration with key business stakeholders.

Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you're a proactive Compliance professional with at least 5 years of experience in compliance, training, risk management or a related consulting role.
  • You have experience identifying and managing Compliance risks within a dynamic enterprise.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • You have proven exceptional project management capabilities along with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • You have experience managing compliance systems and supporting related technologies.
  • You have experience in bringing structure and clarity to complex and ambiguous situations.
  • You are passionate about identifying issues and working with the appropriate stakeholders to solve them.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to operate as a self-starter who can exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and drive projects forward.

Extra credit
  • You have experience working in a healthcare or technology environment with knowledge and understanding of HIPAA, GDPR and other healthcare compliance requirements.
  • You have systems management experience (e.g., Navex, LogicGate).
  • You have project management credentials and experience with data analysis.

Preferred Primary Location: Durham office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
