Your Impact
The Manager, Competitive Insights for Lowe's Media Network (LMN) leads the development of a comprehensive, forward-looking view of the retail and commerce media landscape, including advertiser investment trends, market dynamics, and emerging capabilities that shape LMN's strategic direction. This role serves as a subject matter expert on competitor
offerings, pricing models, measurement approaches, and go-to-market strategies across retail media networks and adjacent digital advertising platforms. In partnership with LMN Leadership, Sales, Strategy, and Insights teams, the manager translates external market intelligence and internal performance data into clear, actionable recommendations that inform product roadmaps, sales enablement, client positioning, and long-term business planning. A key component of the role is executive communication, requiring the ability to distill complex insights into high-impact presentations and concise, executive-ready materials. This position ensures LMN remains competitive, differentiated, and client-focused in a rapidly
evolving media ecosystem by delivering the intelligence and strategic narratives that enable confident decision-making.
What You Will Do
  • Track the competitive landscape across retail, e-commerce and media-including retailer strategies, marketplace models, omnichannel shifts, and how these trends influence advertiser expectations and LMN's competitive position.
  • Analyze the competitive retail/commerce media and advertising ecosystem, with a focus on how other networks and digital platforms evolve their measurement, targeting, pricing, and product capabilities while benchmarking against LMN's offerings to inform competitive gaps and leap-frog opportunities.
  • Monitor broader technological advancements-especially AI, automation, identity solutions, and consumer data trends-and translate implications for LMN's media, analytics, and client experience.
  • Stay on top of evolving regulations and privacy shifts (e.g., cookie deprecation, state advertising optout mandates, category specific limitations) and translate how these changes may impact LMN's ability to target audiences, measure performance, and ultimately drive revenue-proactively advising the business on mitigation strategies and futureproofing opportunities.
  • Synthesize competitive, technological, and regulatory intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations that inform LMN product, pricing, GTM strategy, measurement evolution, and long-range planning-range planning.
  • Identify non-endemic category specific compliance and competitive considerations, especially for regulated verticals such as QSR, automotive, financial, travel and pharmaceutical/wellness highlighting risks and opportunities for LMN.
  • Design and operationalize a scalable competitive intelligence communication framework-including recurring executive briefs, real-time market alerts, and standardized reporting cadences-that delivers timely, prioritized updates to LMN and enterprise leadership on the most material developments in retail media and commerce media
  • Develop executive level communications including high impact PowerPoint narratives and concise written summaries that distill complex signals into clear implications and decision options for leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Strategy, Product, Sales, and Insights to ensure competitive findings directly inform roadmaps, client messaging, and prioritization decisions functionally with Strategy, Product, Sales, and Insights
  • Lead and inspire team members through coaching, mentorship, and structured development plans that strengthen technical expertise, deepen engagement, and drive consistent performance excellence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, Information Sciences, Applied Quantitative or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 5-7 years of experience in insights, analytics, strategy, market research, media analytics, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience conducting competitive or market analysis
  • 1-3 years of People Leadership experience

Preferred Skills/Education
  • Master's degree In a related field (e.g. MBA, Analytics, Market Research, Strategy)
  • Experience working in or closely with media, retail media, digital advertising, retail, or adjacent industries, with exposure to advertiser or partner-facing environments.
  • Proven ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear, executive-ready narratives and presentations.
