What will you be doing?
Step into a pivotal role partnering directly with Costco’s merchandising teams in Issaquah, WA to deliver strategic, insight‑driven guidance across their business. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with both retailer stakeholders and cross-functional Circana teams to transform complex, high‑volume data into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll dive deep into retailer‑level performance, household purchasing behaviors, business reviews, and custom projects—advocating for the client’s needs while identifying new opportunities to grow our partnership.
We are looking for candidates with experience in Merchandising, Account or Category Management, or Analytics roles that involve POS‑based reporting and client‑facing insights delivery. If you are passionate about working with large datasets, crafting compelling stories with data, and building strong, trust‑based client relationships, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with fact-based analyses to inform assortment decisions, category performance, shopper behavior, and growth opportunities.
- Support client accounts across General Merchandise and CPG by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
- Learn to integrate multiple data sources (Circana data, client datasets, internal tools) into clear, data-backed recommendations.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities, ad-hoc requests, and evolving stakeholder needs.
- Support the development and adoption of the Unify platform, including data validation and troubleshooting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Client Insights, Product, Analytics, Technology) to deliver client-aligned solutions.
- Clearly communicate insights to internal stakeholders and, over time, external client audiences.
- Contribute to project scoping, timelines, documentation, and presentations.
- Leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Build strong relationships through reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
- Develop knowledge of retail, General Merchandise, and CPG trends and shopper behavior.
- Contribute to team learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science, or related).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience through internships, academic projects, or entry-level roles.
- MBA or progress toward an MBA is a plus, not required.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify insights.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivots, data validation).
- Experience with or strong interest in programming (e.g., Java); ability to work with data-driven logic.
· Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) or eagerness to learn.
Exposure to SQL, APIs, Python, or analytics platforms is a plus.
High attention to data accuracy and quality.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $70k to $80k.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
