This position offers a significant opportunity to influence mainframe usage, access, and management. You will play a crucial role in devising new processes and strategies for managing mainframe demand and driving modifications to application efficiency. As a member of the Infrastructure Governance team, you will collaborate closely with our Managed Services provider and application development teams to ensure adherence to best practices in mainframe development.
The Lead, Infrastructure Capacity Management conducts supply/demand, trend analyses and makes proactive recommendations to mitigate risk and rationalize the optimal amount of hardware, software and network resources to meet business needs, service level requirements and IT infrastructure growth capacity. The Lead, Infrastructure Capacity Management works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

This position addresses a wide range of complex challenges, ensuring a dynamic and impactful work environment. This role encompasses:

  • Capacity Management: Conducts supply/demand and trend analyses to proactively recommend optimal hardware, software, and network resources, aligning with business needs and IT infrastructure growth.
  • Application Optimization: Ensures mainframe application code is optimized to meet stakeholder demands and serves as a subject matter expert in application development.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Develops, maintains, and documents tools that promote best practices and efficiencies. Facilitates policy development to uphold these standards.
  • Strategic Advising: Advises executives on developing functional, segment-specific application development strategies.
  • Independent Decision-Making: Exercises independent judgment on complex issues, analyzing variables to determine the best course of action with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 or more years of technical experience
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • Technology Integration: Demonstrated expertise in integrating new technologies with existing systems, ensuring seamless compatibility and enhanced functionality.
  • Enterprise-Wide Implementation: Proven experience in deploying technologies that have a significant impact across the entire organization, supporting broad strategic objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Masters degree
  • Experience managing major projects from end to end
  • ITIL Certification
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
