Ads Machine Learning Engineering Manager, Measurement Modeling

Team Description:

The Ads Measurement team charter covers Signals, Identity, Attribution, Performance Measurement, Brand Suitability and 3rd party integrations. Our mission is to prove Reddit Ads value to advertisers and enable optimal performance delivery in a privacy-compliant environment. We are responsible for making sure that advertisers have confidence in the environment where the ad appears in.

The Ads Measurement Modeling team is dedicated to evaluating and improving advertising effectiveness to drive advertiser success. This team plays a critical role in building machine learning solutions that help advertisers understand the value Reddit delivers to their business.

Role description:

This opportunity provides a platform for high impact and personal growth.  As the Engineering Manager for Measurement Modeling, you will work on unique product and technical challenges that will put you at the forefront of next-generation ads measurement products. Your work will directly contribute to growing Reddit’s advertising business.

You will lead the team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models and systems to tackle complex challenges in ad signals, identity, and privacy, such as modeled conversions, probabilistic user matching, identity resolution, and utility enhancement modeling.

Role Scope & Responsibilities:

• Define Technical Vision & Strategy: Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for Measurement Modeling, aligning cutting-edge AI solutions with Reddit’s ads product and business objectives.
• Team Leadership & Development: Coach and support the development of your team, constantly seeking opportunities to grow their skills and impact. 
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with cross-functional partners from across the company to identify key areas of opportunity, set expectations, and communicate your team’s work.
• Technical Execution & Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and optimization of machine learning pipelines and systems
• Platform & Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to chart a path to the next generation of AI-powered solutions for Reddit.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, and efficiency in alignment with customer needs and responsible AI principles.
• Recruiting & Growth: Partner with our incredible recruiting team to attract, interview, and hire diverse and talented machine learning engineers, growing a world-class team.

Required Experience:

• Experience Leading ML Teams: 2+ years of experience building and managing high-performing machine learning teams.
• Deep ML Expertise: Deep hands-on experience working with machine learning models and deploying them in large-scale production systems.
• Technical Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of deep learning, transformer-based architectures, and AI model development. 
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and communicate a clear, compelling technical strategy that supports broader company objectives and addresses the needs of internal customers.
• Impact-Driven Mindset: Passion for developing scalable, well-designed, and responsible AI solutions that drive business value.
• Exceptional Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners
