All about the role:
As a key contributor to the Supply Chain organization, you will lead initiatives that drive cost resilience and continuous improvement across domestic and global logistics flows. Leveraging your expertise in lean manufacturing principles and sustainable supply chain practices, you will spearhead projects aimed at reducing logistics costs, improving carrier performance, and eliminating inefficiencies and waste.
Where you’ll be:
This position will be based in the HQ, Charlotte Office, North Carolina.
What you’ll do:
Act as a source of solid transportation data to the Supply Chain team and all other company areas.
Map logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Act as a link between the transportation and finance departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Implement continuous improvement actions to enhance freight flows and overall logistics performance.
Establish and maintain cost parameters for the freight payment process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Analyze and determine freight results to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions. Analyze, classify, approve, and dispute cost charges.
Support actively the development of accurate and comprehensive cost forecasts for transportation and logistics operations.
Consolidate volume demand to optimize transportation planning and cost efficiency.
Oversee, analyze, approve, or dispute costs, and lead cost optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
Implement KPIs and metrics to measure the Transportation service level.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred major area of study in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a relevant business area.
Minimum 3 years of Logistics and/or Supply Chain experience with a focus on Cost.
Demonstrated Expertise in Transportation Flows and Logistics Data Management.
