We want to redefine the world's relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

The Role
The Cash App Engagement & Retention Marketing team builds data-driven relationships with customers across their lifecycle to drive acquisition, activation, and long-term engagement. Our work spans incentives, referrals, education, and product adoption - with a focus on scalable, sustainable growth.
We're looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Associate to help scale Cash App's foundational referral and acquisition incentives programs as part of our broader effort to expand our customer base. This role will independently own lifecycle initiatives with guidance from a lead, while building expertise in incentives, referrals, and experimentation. You'll work cross-functionally to scope projects, execute high-quality campaigns, analyze performance, and continuously improve how we use incentives to drive efficient growth.
This is a strong role for someone looking to deepen their hard skills, grow strategic judgment, and take on increasing ownership within lifecycle marketing.
You will:
  • Independently lead lifecycle marketing projects, owning execution from planning through launch and iteration
  • Support the design, execution, and optimization of referral and prospect incentive campaigns that drive new active customers
  • Use AI to uplevel and automate work as much as possible, across strategy, briefing, asset development, build and deployment, and analysis.
  • Build and apply expertise in experimentation, analytics, incentive mechanics, CRM execution while developing a broader lifecycle marketing skill set
  • Identify, pull, and analyze the data needed to evaluate campaign performance and generate insights that inform growth strategies
  • Use SQL, dashboards, and experimentation results at a baseline level to support self-service analysis and performance reporting
  • Partner with Product, Creative, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to understand project needs, goals, and success criteria for smaller initiatives
  • Scope projects, set clear expectations and timelines, identify risks, and propose solutions to keep work on track
  • Execute campaigns with a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, QA, and a consistent customer experience

You have:
  • 3+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, ideally in a B2C product environment
  • Experience executing lifecycle campaigns across channels such as email, push, SMS, or in-app messaging
  • Ability to identify the right data to answer marketing questions and perform analysis to inform decisions
  • Experience with AI in automating strategic and operational tasks
  • Baseline familiarity with technical concepts and tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, dashboarding) that enables self-service analytics with support
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver marketing projects, with an understanding of how to align on goals and success metrics
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to scope work, manage timelines, and juggle multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Curiosity, coachability, and a growth mindset, with a proactive approach to learning and skill development

Nice to Have
  • Experience working on referral programs, incentives, or offer-led acquisition strategies
  • Exposure to fintech, banking, or other regulated product environments
  • Experience supporting limited-time offer or promotional campaigns
