You’ll enjoy our hip, newly renovated office in the heart of downtown with a view of the capital and the downtown skyline.

Job Category

We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Lending Operations & Compliance Manager who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who can independently own and execute operational initiatives across lending partnerships, compliance frameworks, and treasury operations. You’ll be the go-to person for managing the full loan lifecycle, ensuring regulatory alignment, and delivering operational consistency across our finance programs. The right candidate will have prior experience independently driving strategy and improvements across operational processes—without relying on a large team or constant oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end operational oversight of lending partner relationships, including managing contractor status across approved, denied, and dormant lenders.
  • Independently manage treasury coordination to ensure alignment with revenue recognition practices and partner SLAs.
  • Oversee and optimize the full loan lifecycle (application to servicing) with minimal guidance.
  • Drive the implementation of new procedures and policies that improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency across operational systems.
  • Maintain compliance standards and ensure all processes meet federal and state lending regulations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, FDCPA).
  • Support and respond to regulatory audits and exams in collaboration with compliance/legal teams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across lending and operational pipelines through proactive monitoring and documentation.
  • Develop repeatable processes, playbooks, and templates for internal teams to follow.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and lending partners regarding operational processes.
  • Lead internal trainings and educate teams on process, compliance, and regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, but operate with a high level of independence and accountability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in lending operations, consumer finance, or regulatory compliance.
  • At least 1+ years of experience independently owning or leading operations strategy initiatives.
  • Proven track record of working autonomously and taking initiative without requiring direct supervision.
  • Experience with online lending, marketplace lending, or fintech environments strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of consumer lending workflows, including underwriting, funding, and servicing.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance practices, with experience supporting audits (CFPB, state DFIs, etc.).
  • Strong process orientation with a continuous improvement mindset (lean, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Comfortable using operational and loan data to drive insights and guide decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Bonus points for advanced credentials like an MBA, JD, CRCM, or equivalent
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $110,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
