Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Legal Recruiting Manager to join its Human Resources Department in Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Columbia or Greenville. In this role, you will lead recruiting initiatives that support the Firm's strategic talent goals, overseeing attorney and business professional hiring programs from planning through execution. You will partner with Firm leadership, hiring stakeholders, external recruiting partners, and internal business teams to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent while delivering a best-in-class candidate experience.

A Day in the Life

You will manage full cycle recruiting processes for attorneys and business professionals while developing strategies that support practice group needs and office growth plans. You will work closely with hiring partners and Firm leaders to identify hiring needs, evaluate candidates, and facilitate hiring decisions. You will oversee recruiting programs and events, including law school recruiting, summer associate programming, onboarding initiatives, networking events, callback interviews, and candidate engagement activities. You will also analyze recruiting metrics, monitor market trends, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, you will collaborate with attorneys and business teams to deliver high-quality recruiting and onboarding experiences, manage event logistics and budgets, support special projects, and provide direction to recruiting staff as needed.

You are a detail-oriented recruiting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can successfully manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with candidates, attorneys, and business stakeholders.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of legal recruiting, attorney recruiting, campus recruiting, or professional development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Experience managing attorney recruiting programs, law school recruiting, summer associate programs, or lateral attorney hiring.

You bring strong communication, organization, and project management skills, along with sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to deliver an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience. Experience with applicant tracking systems and legal recruiting platforms is preferred.
