This role is essential to help Lyric establish efficient, scalable legal and contracting processes. This position ensures the Legal & Compliance team can operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment by leading critical workstreams and driving strategic execution.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES

  • Contract Drafting, Management, & Optimization: Draft contracts and refine contracting operations—across sales, vendors, and partnerships. Create scalable templates, tools, and review processes that balance speed with compliance.
  • Strategic Legal Operations: Design and implement operational plans for the Legal & Compliance function, including project roadmaps, legal tech tool implementation, data reporting systems, and cross-functional workflows.
  • AI & Data Privacy Program Support: Operationalize legal tasks related to Lyric’s AI and data privacy programs. Ensure proactive tracking of obligations and partner with internal stakeholders to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
  • IP and Legal Entity Management: Maintain trademark, patent, and IP portfolios, including integration of acquired IP. Oversee state and federal entity registrations, such as SAM.
  • Compliance Program Execution: Partner with the Compliance Director to track training, perform exclusion checks, and assist in investigations. Help develop frameworks to support a maturing compliance culture.
  • Legal KPI & Reporting: Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms for key legal and compliance goals. Present data in strategic formats for executive and Board review.
  • M&A Integration Support: Coordinate legal and compliance responsibilities in acquisition diligence and post-close integration. Ensure legal operations are aligned across newly acquired entities.
  • Insurance Policy Administration: Support annual policy renewals, maintain insurance certificates for client-facing needs, and answer internal insurance-related inquiries.
  • Outside Counsel Coordination: Track spend and help optimize our use of external counsel through reporting and performance insights.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years or minimum of ten (10) years direct experience to the role if no Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in legal operations, contract drafting, management, or corporate legal roles
  • 5 + Years experience with tools like Salesforce, DocuSign, and CLM or workflow automation platforms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP or similar project/process certifications
  • Expert in contract lifecycle management, risk spotting, and template governance. Experience supporting business, vendor, or partner deals.


***The US base salary range for this full-time position is:

$122,425.00 - $183,638.00
