Description
MEMX is seeking a Legal Intern to join our team this summer. This opportunity is designed for a law student interested in gaining practical experience in the legal work behind a growing financial technology and securities exchange organization. You’ll work alongside experienced attorneys, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn how legal advice supports the business. This internship position will be offered as hybrid with 2 days in-person at our co-working office in Midtown-NYC.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct legal research on topics relevant to MEMX and summarize your findings for the team
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and proofreading regulatory filings and other legal documents, agreements, and correspondence
- Help organize and maintain legal files, research and other team resources
- Attend meetings and collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across the organization
- Support additional legal projects as needs arise throughout the summer
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear communication and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in person at our Midtown Manhattan office during the summer
- Permanent residence in one of MEMX’s approved states for remote work during the internship

Pay Rate: $40/hourly
