Job Summary
The Learning Technology Senior Consultant collaborates with colleagues across the enterprise to guide and optimize CNA's suite of employee learning technologies. The Senior Consultant will establish and oversee enterprise learning technology governance, including related processes and training; design and implement learning technology content strategies; and use key internal and external insights to continuously improve and further modernize the CNA learner experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guides the strategic use, optimization, and governance of CNA's Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance the overall learning experience for CNA employees and partners. Partners with the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Team who have responsibility for executing the administration of the LMS.
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure the LMS and other learning technologies meet the evolving needs of the organization, driving continuous improvement in our learning technology infrastructure.
  • Stays abreast of learning technology releases, enhancements, and innovative tools. Liaises with CNA's learning technology vendors and content providers and attends key learning and/or learning technology industry events to understand emerging trends and best practices.
  • Partners with CNA's learning technology vendors and CNA colleagues to design solutions that address identified employee learning challenges and opportunities.
  • Designs and delivers learning technology training for business learning leaders, partnering with HRSS as appropriate.
  • Using available data and thought leadership, assesses the efficacy of CNA's learning technology strategy and implements changes in strategic direction where appropriate.
  • Recommend opportunities to apply new technologies to modernize and standardize the learner experience across the CNA talent development ecosystem. Accordingly, partners with the HR Technology Team to develop and execute learning technology roadmaps.
  • Partners with Talent Development leaders to design and curate eLearning content to shape learning programs and pathways with creative, engaging and effective content.
  • Researches external digital learning trends and best practices and acts as an eLearning design expert to key stakeholders.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Strong proficiency in LMS platforms (with specific knowledge of Cornerstone On Demand and Workday), virtual classroom platforms and other learning technologies - including experience with system design and configuration, implementation, and optimization.
  • Expertise in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate, Vyond and Murf.
  • Knowledge of learner experience design, instructional design methods, learning and skilling practices, training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and modern blended learning theory and strategies.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security standards that apply to learning platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills and ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement, solve problems and make critical business decisions effectively, at times with ambiguous or incomplete information.


Reporting Relationship
Typically Director or above.
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent with professional designation preferred.
  • Typically a minimum of five to eight years of learning & development and learning technology experience.

I n certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia , California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois , Maryland , Massachusetts , New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $72,000 to $141,000 annually.Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
