Cloudinary is looking for a Director Technical Marketing Engineer to join our product marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on creation of competitive analysis, product demos, technical content, productivity automations, and sales enablement as well as coordinating GenAI-specific launches across the entire Cloudinary product portfolio - Cloudinary Image, Cloudinary Video, Cloudinary Assets (DAM), Cloudinary 3D and our emerging technology.

We are looking for someone who can think creatively and enjoys hands-on work to develop new solutions to improve product marketing productivity, sales success and company-wide win/loss analysis. 

You will own and lead the technical marketing role at Cloudinary as the sole expert responsible for this function. You might be a great fit if you:

Responsibilities:

  • Create technical product demos centered on compelling value-based storytelling highlighting use cases for use with prospects, customers, analysts, and events. Demo environments, click-thru demos, and interactive web-based online demos.
  • Be the lead on technical competitive insights including the key competitors, smaller competitors, and emerging competitive landscape across the portfolio of products.
  • Be the SME expert on GenAI technology and its implementation across our product portfolio - bringing insights to product marketing and product management teams and evangelizing our capabilities.
  • Bring our differentiation to life in launches and throughout the year with creative technical-based content such as blogs, demos, value calculators
  • Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing peers to understand product roadmap and upcoming releases to advise launch teams on the positioning of strengths and differentiation based on technical realities of our products vs competition.
  • Produce external-facing content including demo videos, customer-facing decks, webinars, data sheets, FAQs, cheat sheets and more across all funnel stages
  • Support Product Marketing efficiency and reporting with automation and technical problem-solving
  • Lead and participate in delivering presentations and demos at trade shows and events
  • Present enablement to solution engineering, customer education, and GTM teams on technical deep dives and/or competitive intelligence
  • Proactively build automation to drive internal team efficiency & impact analysis content.

About You:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical product marketing or a closely related field
  • Experience with SaaS
  • CS degree or equivalent 
  • API and Coding Experience: Hands on experience with APIs and at least one modern language (ie JavaScript or Python)
  • Media Expertise: Understanding how image and video content is handled on the web — formats, delivery, optimization, and general media workflows.
  • Developer tools and ecosystem:Familiarity with the broader developer ecosystem — frameworks, content platforms (ie Vercel), etc. 
  • Marketing operations and automations: Hands-on problem-solving using tools like Snowflake and GenAI for enhanced productivity and analysis
  • Experience crafting competitive battle cards and creating competitive messaging and insights for sales enablement
  • Hands on experience building product demos end-to-end with web and product teams, from the story-telling narrative to technical execution in demos, videos, and sales training
  • Flexible team player with a proven track record collaborating with and inspiring others
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred: Expertise with martech stack such as products in image and video/media management, content management, e-commerce platforms, headless architectures, or digital asset management space
