About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant to support the Enterprise Strategy Team. In this role, you will contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning efforts, including the development and refresh of the Enterprise Strategic Plan. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across lines of business and enterprise functions to ensure strategic alignment and support initiatives that span multiple business groups.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex, high-impact initiatives and serve as a key participant in large-scale strategic planning efforts.
  • Provide principal-level strategic consulting services to client organizations.
  • Represent Wells Fargo on industry boards and committees.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale, and long-term challenges that require evaluating multiple, and sometimes unprecedented, factors.
  • Manage relationships with key external vendors supporting market and competitive analysis.
  • Identify strategic business investments and alliance opportunities.
  • Make decisions in complex situations and influence broader teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Evaluate and approve processes to address identified opportunities.
  • Collaborate strategically with stakeholders at all levels to resolve issues and achieve business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership across Wells Fargo to define business strategies and create, then execute, corresponding business plans and initiatives.
  • Communicate strategy and related business plans to management and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis, market research, and benchmarking to inform product or business strategy.
  • Ability to develop cohesive, data-driven strategic recommendations with strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with a premier strategy consulting firm, internal corporate strategy, or strategic roles within Financial Services, FinTech, or BigTech.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MBA strongly preferred but not required.
  • Background in management consulting

Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work on-site at the location specified in the job posting.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
