As the Director of HRBP, you will serve as a key strategic partner to our GTM organization—including teams focused on primary intelligence—providing thoughtful HR guidance and helping to shape the culture, performance, and growth of the function. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply strategic and can work autonomously, yet thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes reactive environment. We’re especially looking for someone who has operated in high-bar organizations and understands how to support technical teams through scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to People leadership and GTM stakeholders, understanding business goals and shaping HR strategies that enable team effectiveness.
  • Partner with managers to retain top talent and raise the bar for their respective technical teams.
  • Partner with leaders in shaping a high-impact organizational structure that accelerates business growth and enables clear, scalable career paths for the team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive people programs and data driven strategies that strengthen our culture — encompassing performance management, talent development and feedback, employee engagement and internal communications.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for sensitive employee matters, offering balanced, business-savvy guidance to support healthy team dynamics and morale.
  • Build and execute engagement strategies that reflect the mission-oriented and unique nature of the GTM org.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on partnering with GTM teams in high-growth environments.
  • Experience supporting organizations with a high bar for talent and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while navigating fast-paced, sometimes reactive environments with composure and clarity.
  • Deep understanding of performance management, employee development, and team dynamics within product or technical functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a data-informed approach to HR decision-making.

About the Team:

  • TRM Labs’ People Team operates with a remote-first philosophy, ensuring collaboration and high impact across time zones. We work asynchronously to stay connected and aligned, using tools such as Slack, Notion, and Zoom to communicate and collaborate efficiently. Our culture emphasizes ownership, transparency, and trust, empowering team members to make decisions and move quickly.
  • As a globally distributed team, members may observe different timezones. However, most of the team will overlap between the hours of 7am-12pm PST for meetings and collaboration.
  • All team members, regardless of location must have at least 4 hour overlap with PST business hours.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Review engagement survey results with managers within 10 days and develop actionable next steps within the following quarter.
  • Partner with managers to implement PIPs within 3 days of identifying a need for structured support.
  • Conduct strategic check-ins with managers by the end of each quarter, tracking progress on talent initiatives and team priorities.
