In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience of with working with Large (TBs) databases, preferably Oracle Exadata Grid
- 5+ years of experience with Database Engineering and thorough understanding of data masking techniques to retain referential integrity
- 5+ years of experience of scripting language (Python/Perl preferred)
- 5+ years of Unix/Linux experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Sybase SQL or MS SQL Server experience
- 5+ years of database (DB) technologies experience
- 5+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations
- Experience in leading the complex or critical data/ database management initiatives and projects
- Experience with large data sets, transactional platforms, or a combination of both
- Experience managing one or more industry-standard development tools or scripting languages
- Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with automation a plus.
- Experience with supporting and building REST interfaces and data exchange mythologies is preferred
