About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a leader who has done design work on custom validation automation testing capabilities. Experience within Wells Fargo both with OCP and GCP are also must have.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Proven success in developing in Python for both Model Tools and Model Validation Tool Sets.
  • Model Validation Instrument Automation capability.
    • Demonstrated leadership in automating critical validation techniques which will be necessary both in the cloud and in OCP containerization.
    • Familiarity with Wells Fargo's internal systems and processes for Validating Models, enabling his to deliver immediate
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers
  • Leverage Domain skills in Models, Capital market, Structured Products, Risk management, Asset-Liability Management, and other Finance areas to assist with Model Validators
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years in IT with a focus on the Financial Services as an engineer.
  • 5+ years with a focus on Model development Lifecycle
  • 5+ years with Wells Fargo Enterprise standard tools: Orchestra, Python and Panda's, Financial Data Store, Kafka setup and Google Cloud Protocol Pub/Sub engagement
  • 2+ years with Model Validation hands on work
  • Experience over the lifecycle of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness.
  • Security tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx, Black Duck.
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Certifications in Cloud (AWS Solution Architect, Azure)
  • Experience with GCP as well as OCP containerization especially when working with Model Validation teams.
  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience building Custom Application development for validation quantitative analysis team members with Python.
  • Experience building these systems to support multiple platforms including OCP and GCP
  • Validation Automation Tool creation experience
  • Implemented secure CI/CD pipelines, and integrated enterprise-grade monitoring and security tools along with leveraging his Wells Fargo Model Lifecycle management capability to create Validation Automation capabilities for the Validation teams. His continued contributions are essential to maintaining momentum automating validation both in OCP containers and in the cloud.
  • Proven success in OpenShift migration, a key initiative for the team.
  • Experience with GCP capabilities.
  • Model Instrument Automation capability.
  • Demonstrated leadership in automating critical validation techniques which will be necessary both in the cloud and in OCP containerization.
  • Application build of automation capabilities within Wells Fargo on OCP containers
  • Application build of automation capabilities within Wells Fargo on GCP containers
  • Experience with Validation Tools and the automating of key validation functionalities
