The Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) Credit Services group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs for Credit Bureau Services and Credit Decisioning Products and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work in our Credit Services Technology Engineering team. The candidate will be actively engaged in architecture, design, and development of APIs, Microservice frameworks for applications to support Consumer lending line of business's needs. In this role, you will be building out modern platforms, implementing new tools and processes. This is an opportunity to produce immediate impact by leveraging your strengths and past experience while learning new things.

- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Java experience
- 5+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- 3+ years of Angular experience
- 3+ years of microservices development experience
- 3+ years of experience working with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
- 2+ years of A.I. experience
- 2+ years of MongoDB experience or another NoSQL Database
- 2+ years of experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Enterprise
- 2+ years of Agile experience
- 3+ years of microservices development experience
- 3+ years of experience building cloud-ready enterprise solutions in one or a combination of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- JavaScript programming language experience
- Experience with In-memory databases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or similar field
- Position will require onsite presence at one of the required locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule
