What you will do:  

  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Inspire, mentor, and guide a team of skilled engineers to deliver innovative solutions while promoting a culture of continuous learning and exploration of the latest technologies.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Architects: Work closely with engineering managers and architects to design, develop, and deliver large-scale data applications utilizing LLMs and other AI tools to enhance product delivery.

  • Be an AI and Cloud Champion: Research new AI technologies and identify ways to leverage them to accelerate our solution delivery while ensuring high-quality standards.

  • Work with QA Engineers: Collaborate with QA engineers to create and maintain automated test suites.

  • Engage with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with product managers, data engineers, and UX designers to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly solutions.

  • Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Empower stakeholders with insights based on data to optimize operations and achieve strategic objectives.

  • Support Feature Development and Maintenance: Assist in building new features and platforms while also maintaining a suite of existing data and reporting applications.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and SaaS Teams: Work together with DevOps and SaaS teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

  • Cultivate a Positive Company Culture: Foster a company culture that values cross-team collaboration and trust.

Requirements: 

  • 7+ years of Software Development experience, including design patterns and data structures 

  • 2+ years of experience serving in a leadership role on engineering teams 

  • Strong AI Foundation: Proven experience in applying machine learning and AI techniques to real-world data problems.

  • Expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment models, including automation, orchestration, and scale.

  • Experience building large-scale, durable, reliable, and scalable data applications in a cloud environment.

  • Data Engineering Expertise: Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

  • Deep understanding of relational data modeling & practical experience with RDBMS and ETL tools such as AWS Glue, DBT, and SSIS.

  • Track record of creating robust data pipelines using AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Kinesis, DMS, and or alternate solutions using Snowflake

  • In-depth experience with Enterprise Business Intelligence tools such as QuickSight, Looker, Tableau, and PowerBI.

  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments, such as Scrum or Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience. 

  • Highly proficient in common programming languages like Java, C#/.NET and or Python

  • Strong front-end experience with React, Typescript, and Node.

  • Practical experience with Kubernetes/EKS, ECS/Fargate using Terraform and or Cloudformation.

  • Exposure to the needs of users within the nonprofit, public sector, or social good space 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity. 

 

US Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $180,000
